Why this exists

Most free QR code generators are not free. You pick a type, design the code, and then hit a paywall at the download step — or you get a code that quietly expires when a trial ends. QRWisp was built to remove that pattern entirely.

Every code type and every file format here is free, permanently: PNG, vector SVG, print-ready PDF and EPS, with no account, no watermark and no expiry.

How it works

The generator runs entirely in your browser. When you type a WiFi password, a PIX key or a wallet address, that text is turned into a QR code by JavaScript running on your own device. It is never uploaded, because there is no server to upload it to.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and generate a code. No request carries your data. It is also why the site keeps working when you go offline.

The scannability check

A QR code that looks good and does not scan is worse than no QR code at all — especially once it is printed on a thousand menus. So every code generated here is decoded back, the way a phone camera would read it, and compared against what you typed. We also measure colour contrast and how much of the code your logo covers.

If something would stop it scanning in the real world, you are told before you download, with the specific change that fixes it.

How the site is funded

Advertising on the content areas of the page, and affiliate commissions when a link is genuinely useful. Ads are never placed inside the generator itself, and we do not use pop-ups, pop-unders or redirects. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
